Professional Audio Systems for commercial application
Advanced Acoustics not only provide the acoustic solutions for the treatment of your environments. We also provide a wealth of knowledge and experience in the integration of your audio sound system installations in order to achieve the best possible Acoustic Euphony. Using our expert knowledge and diagnostic equipment we are able to perform acoustic testing in the chosen space and calculate the volumetric capacity in correlation to the sound energy required to immerse the space in total surrounding even coverage of the distribution of waves.
There are many different companies worldwide producing professional audio speaker systems and with all of these brands it's very difficult to make a choice to understand what brand would be the best from the end users perspective. We limit our range to a select few brands that have unique specialist qualities for particular specifications of usage.
Our preferred brands that we deal with are:
Top Brands
- Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW)
- Wharfedale Professional
- Mackie Audio
- Bose Professional
- Allen & Heath
The Basics of speaker selection
Speaker distribution area coverage angles
Different speakers will have different angles of coverage horizontally (horizontal X axis) and not necessarily be the same vertically (vertical Y axis). The projection of the speaker and distance covered is referred to as the throw (applicable Z axis). It is important to understand these basic principles in order to calculate the distribution of speakers in a volumetric area. The current consensus amongst acoustic engineers is that the majority of audio & visual installation contractors have little or no understanding of scientific calculation methods in selecting speaker systems and distributing them in an environment effectively.
This often leads to over-quantifying of speaker units, power outputs and speaker throw type; a perfect textbook example of which can be found in many nightclubs in the Orchard district of Singapore. For home usage the same scientific principles can be adopted and utilised, with the inclusion of this simple rule of thumb: always use stereo subwoofers as opposed to mono singular.
Speaker distribution using method using suspended Speaker Array
When dealing with large volumetric spaces where there is ample height allowance, the suspended speaker array system is the best possible choice for the best possible Acoustic Euphony. The entire system can be suspended in this way or split into main speaker system and sub speaker system cabinets.
